NFLCC Show Calendar

NFLCC shows and events are a chance to get together with other collectors and buy, sell, and trade fishing tackle. You must be a member to attend an NFLCC-sanctioned show, but you can usually get a temporary membership or buy a full membership at the show. You can usually participate in room trading before and after the show. You can rent tables at most shows, but reserve early, as many popular show sell out! We promise that you will never be disappointed in attending a show.

Mark your calendars and make plans now to attend the 25^th Annual Region 5 Antique and Collectible Fishing Tackle Show in Indianapolis, IN on March 7 & 8, 2008. The show will be held at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center just off of I-465 at Exit 16A on the west side of the city. Show hosts, Jim Buchanan and Carl Schaum, have secured a room rate of $69.00 for double or single rooms. Call 317.299.8400 by February 7, 2008 and mention Lure Show to receive the special rate. The hotel features an indoor heated pool, hot tub, free continental breakfast, and high-speed Internet access. Numerous tourist attractions are available nearby including the: Indianapolis Speedway, Childrens Museum, and Circle Centre Mall. The Show Room is located in the hotel and room trading will be held on Thursday night of the show. Eight-foot tables are available for $25 each and a show registration of $10. March 15 & 16, 2008 Palmyra, NY	Steve Hays (315) 597-4793	The NFLCC Region 1 sanctioned Spring 2008 show will be held March 15 and 16, 2008 in Palmyra, New York. Host hotel is again the Palmyra Inn, 955 Canandaigua Road (State Route 21), Palmyra, NY, 14522 located approximately 5 miles north on Route 21 from the NYS Thruway (Interstate 90), Exit 43. The Inn offers an exercise room, jacuzzi spa, free continental breakfast with a microwave and fridge in every room. The Inn is a smoke-free building. We will sell out all of our tables for this show so do not wait.Call and make your room and table reservation now! Make room reservations by calling 1-800-426-9900 and mention NFLCC Fishing Tackle Show for our super-special room rate. A few 2-bedroom sites are available at our special rate. First come, first served. Room block expires Feb. 15 or when sold out. By reserving under our group rate you agree to comply with NFLCC guidelines and show rules for registration. Room trading Thursday and Friday. Saturday show hours are 7:30 a.m. set-up for table holders only, 9:00 a.m. for members without tables. Show closes 5 to 7 p.m. for dinner break and reopens 7-9 p.m. Sunday show hours are 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Show features Club Shop, 50/50 raffles, and auction. There will be extensive promotion of this show to the public. Items arriving at the show for appraisal and sale from the public will be sold by auction to all present. Show registration is $10 each person attending, having tables, or just room trading at the hotel. Six 6' tables are $25 each. Table holders must set up and display in the show area. Bring your own table cloths and table coverings. Table registration deadline is Feb. 15, or until sold out - no refunds after Feb. 15. Avenue D, in Temple, Texas on April 24-26, 2008. Hotel is the Best Western Temple Inn & Suites, 602 N. Gen.Bruce Dr. (I-35). Mention NFLCC and receive discounted room rate. You must secure your room before April 20 to receive the discounted rate. All rooms include free high-speed internet, microwave and small refrigerator. Checkin is 1:00 pm. Early checkin time must be pre-arranged with the hotel. Hotel phone number is (254) 742-1122. The KC Hall will provide a snack bar all day. Items such as cold drinks, frito pie, h ot dogs, hamburgers, candy, etc., will be available at a reasonable price. Due to license agreement, there will be no alcohol or smoking in the show hall. July 10-12, 2008 Peoria, IL	NFLCC National Show Gary Baze moonlightlures@yahoo.com	The 2008 NFLCC National Show and Meeting will be held in Peoria, IL on July 10, 11, and 12. Location is the Peoria Civic Center 201 SW Jefferson. Peoria, Illinois. The host hotel is the Pere Marquette. Phone number is 866-376-8886 or 309-637-6500. Overflow hotel is Holiday Inn. Phone is 800-474-2501 or 309-674-2500. Fill out the National Registration Form and mail to the address on the form. There are 250 rooms blocked at Rates of $87.00 per night with children 18 and under staying free with parents in the same room. This rate applies 4 days prior to and 1 day after the show dates. Jr. Suites are offered at $175.00. There is no cancellation fee applied any time a reservation is cancelled by 6:00 pm the day before arrival. Pets are allowed, but a $50 refundable fee is required. Please identify yourself as an NFLCC member when reserving your room to insure the $87.00 rate. Reservations must be made prior to June 6, 2008 to guarantee rates. The second hotel is the Holiday Inn City Centre. There are 250 rooms blocked here also with rates of $87.00 per night (1-4 people) children 17 and under stay free with adults in same room. They allow pets and there is no cancellation fee if reservations are cancelled before 6:00 the day of arrival. Please identify yourself as an NFLCC member when reserving your room to insure $87.00 rate. Reservations must be made by June 10, 2008 to guarantee rates. Please make reservation promptly. MEET RESTRICTIONS: You must be a member in good standing with the NFLCC, meaning all dues paid through June 2009, in order to attend the show. Do not send dues to the Show Host! Only fishing tackle and related items will be permitted in the exhibit hall, either for display, sale, or trade. POSITIVELY NO EXCEPTIONS! REGISTRATION & TABLES: Advance registration is $25.00 per member, including spouse and children. Each paid member is allowed to bring one (1) non-NFLCC guest free of charge. Additional guests must purchase a membership and registration. Pre-registration will close on June 30, 2008. An e-mail or postcard confirmation will only be sent to registrations that specifically request one. Registration at the door will be $30.00 per member, so register early. Table registration is $30.00 per table, with no limit on tables. Tables will be assigned on a first come first serve basis, so PLEASE RESERVE YOURS EARLY, as tables will go fast! Room trading on Thursday and Friday. The show is being held at a new location this year! Hotel has three floors for convenient in-room trading and ample, flat lot parking. Hotel is located off Highway 52. Simply exit at 16^th Street Southwest, take a left and go one block. Take a right onto Greenview Drive. Hotel is on the right. If flying in, hotel is approximately 80 miles southeast of the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport and 8 miles from the Rochester International Airport. Driving directions also available on show web site. Show hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Show set-up opens at 7:00 a.m. The show will be heavily advertised and is open to the public. We will hold silent auctions on the day of the show. The Hilton DFW Lakes hotel is just across the street from Bass Pro Shops and Grapevine Mills Mall (to keep everyone busy before and after the meet). We always encourage the public to bring in old tackle for the auction. The Hilton provides a free DFW Airport Shuttle. There is even a lake behind the hotel for guests where one of our members caught a nice bass last year. Admittance/registration is $20 and tables are $25 each. Show will be held Friday the 19th from 4:00 until 10:00 p.m. and Saturday the 20th from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Oct 31-Nov 1, 2008 Kelso, Washington	REGION 9 FALL MEET	The Region 9 Fall Tackle Meet will be held at the Kelso Red Lion Hotel at I-5 Exit 39 on the east side of the freeway. Please be sure and mention the NFLCC or Lure Meet when you are making your reservations to insure that you receive the reduced room rate. The 14th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Fishing Tackle Show will be held November 7th and 8th, 2008, at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri. Room trading will take place Friday evening, November 7, and the show will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8. Tables are available for $25 each with a show registration of $10. This show features room shopping on Wed. and Thurs. and a 6p - 9p set-up on Thurs. evening. Show is 9a - 9p on Fri. and 8a - 3p Sat. The 28th annual Region #6 Great Milwaukee Classic will be held at a new location. The dates are January , 2009. The location will be the, SHERATON MILWAUKEE BROOKFIELD, 375 S. There is a large shopping mall in the same parking area. Not to mention a lot of eateries in the area. Unlike years past this hotel is perfect for room trading. We will be in the same area and there are plenty of elevators. Unlike our last location there is plenty of parking too. For those flying in there is complimentary airport shuttle service.
